About the Role

We're looking for a Customer Success Manager to help our customers ship and scale accounting and financial data integrations. Apideck's Unified APIs cover accounting, ERP, and financial systems, and our customers are Vertical SaaS and Fintech companies building on top of them. You'll own onboarding, adoption, and retention for a portfolio of these accounts, and you'll be the person who understands both the API and the accounting workflow behind it.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own onboarding and implementation for new customers, from first API call to production traffic

• Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Vertical SaaS and Fintech accounts

• Help customers map their product requirements onto our accounting data model. Invoices, journal entries, ledger accounts, tax rates, and the places where a specific connector behaves differently than the customer expects

• Debug integration issues directly, and escalate to product and engineering with a clear reproduction and hypothesis

• Monitor customer health and act before renewals become at-risk

• Turn customer feedback into specific product input, including which connectors and fields customers are actually asking for

• Build the CS playbook and tooling as you go

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years in a customer-facing role at a B2B SaaS or fintech company. CSM, Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar

• Working knowledge of accounting or financial data. You know what a general ledger is, why a journal entry has to balance, and how invoices, payments, and credit notes relate to each other. You do not need to be an accountant

• You can read API documentation, trace a failed request through logs, understand OAuth flows, and explain a data model to a developer without escalating

• You have worked with developers as your primary users and know the difference between a customer who is blocked and one who is frustrated

• Exceptional written communication. Most of your customer contact will be async and written

• Highly organized across a portfolio of accounts with competing priorities

• Nice to have: hands-on experience with accounting or ERP platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Exact, or Sage. Either as an integrator or as a user
